Dream Act is a nightmare for the rest of us
"The Democrats are promoting legislation known as the Dream Act, which would give permanent residency status to certain children of illegal immigrants, but only if they came to the country before age 16 and had graduated from high school. Supporters say the measure, which will see a vote tomorrow in the Senate (Oct. 24), is very narrowly tailored." Full article here. Sure. And no one would possibly lie about that in order to get state tuition, would they? President Bush and the Democrats were roundly defeated on amnesty, so now they will try nibbling us to death, sneaking it in line by line. Time to e-mail and phone your representatives--yet again.
Dick Durbin (D-IL) was going to have a press conference and invite the illegals. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) said, "I call on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency to detain any illegal aliens at this press conference. Just because these illegal aliens are being used for political gain doesn’t mean they get immunity from the law."
Go get 'em, Tom. Somebody's got to save the country, and on this issue, it won't be Bush.
